Please join us as Dr. Srini Dharmapuri reviews the recent ASPRS Positional Accuracy Standards for Geospatial Data. Dr. Dharmapuri's presentation will focus on understanding new elements, updates and changes from the earlier 2014 standard.
Bio:
Dr. Srini Dharmapuri, CP, CMS, PMP, is the VP/Chief Scientist at Sanborn Map Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Dharmapuri holds Master of Science (Physics), Master of Technology (Remote Sensing), and Doctorate (Satellite Photogrammetry) degrees, with over 30 years of extensive experience in the Geospatial Industry, including expertise in lidar, Photogrammetry, GIS, and UAS. Dr. Dharmapuri supports various technology initiatives Sanborn is currently undertaking as a resident scientist and will also support Sanborn's Technology Management, Program Management, and Business Development efforts. He has worked in both the private and public sectors, as well as internationally. In addition to his educational achievements, Dr. Dharmapuri is an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist, a Certified Mapping Scientist—Lidar, a licensed Photogrammetric Surveyor in South Carolina and Virginia, and a Certified GIS Professional and a Project Management Professional.
Dr. Dharmapuri has been actively involved with ASPRS and ASPRS-EGLR for more than 2 decades.
