Thanks to Darrick, Matt, Howard, Nick, and Barry for attending this month's meeting. The recording link is now available. Topics covered:

    1. Evon working with ASPRS on getting a new permanent hosting location for the LAS spec PDFs.
    2. Evon to follow up with HQ on getting the lasformat.org site to forward to the HTML version hosted on ReadTheDocs. Example: https://hobu.asprslas.org/en/latest/
    3. Howard to update his HTML-LAS sample with a second, past, version of the LAS specification for comparison.
    4. OGC is on board with updating their version of the LAS specification: https://www.ogc.org/standards/las/
    5. The WKT guidance wiki still needs to be updated with key versions of PROJ that support features important to LAS 1.5, especially the EPOCH key (PROJ 9.2?). https://github.com/ASPRSorg/LAS/wiki/WKT-Definition-Guidance
    6. Rapidlasso has published the initial version of the LAZ 1.4 specification:
    7. There is a new version of GDAL out that adds/improves support for piped data workflows: https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/blob/v3.12.0/NEWS.md
    8. Howard called out that European CRS definitions are in a state of major flux as they add their own time-dependent CRS definitions.

Finally, I have one question for the community... I would like the LWG to publish a Standard VLR that documents the link between points in GPS Week Time and their corresponding GPS Week so that all three timestamp formats can be converted to real HMS times, forever. This came up as an issue during discussions at the OGC Member Meeting in Boulder, and imho is the only missing piece for making LAS 1.5 truly future-proof.

Has anyone here produced a VLR that explicitly associates Point Source IDs (flightline numbers) with GPS Weeks? Are you willing to share it with the community as a model implementation?
