Bio

Yunzhe Zhu is a Ph.D. candidate in Geography at the University of California, Davis, and serves as the President of the ASPRS UC Davis Student Chapter. His research focuses on wildfire risk assessment and fuel mapping in California’s Wildland-Urban Interface using high-resolution remote sensing, including aerial imagery, LiDAR, and deep learning models. Yunzhe’s interdisciplinary work bridges ecology, community design, and geospatial technology to support data-driven fire resilience strategies. He is passionate about expanding access to geospatial tools and fostering collaboration across academic and professional communities.
