    Dr. Elsayed is a distinguished figure in the geospatial industry, currently serving as the Head of Innovation at Teledyne Geospatial in Toronto, Canada. With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Elsayed has carved out a reputation as a leader in high-tech domains, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), lidar and camera sensor systems, lidar manufacturing, photogrammetry, and lidar data acquisition and processing.

    Dr. Elsayed's educational background is both diverse and impressive. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Alexandria University, a master's degree in IT Business Management from The British University in Dubai, and a PhD in Geomatics Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University. His academic journey reflects a deep commitment to advancing geospatial technology and contributing to groundbreaking research.

    In his role at Teledyne Geospatial, Dr. Elsayed leads a team of talented scientists and professionals dedicated to developing cutting-edge lidar products for land, water, and air applications. His team excels in integrating the latest advancements in lidar subsystems and leveraging AI to provide invaluable insights for different applications. Dr. Elsayed's responsibilities encompass overseeing various R&D projects, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align innovation initiatives with the company's strategic objectives.

    Dr. Elsayed's career is distinguished by a blend of industry and academic experience. During his PhD program at TMU, he not only taught geomatics courses but also represented graduate students in the Academic Senate and has been part of the high-level decision making group of the university. As a Research Scientist at Teledyne Geospatial, he developed new algorithms and techniques to enhance the accuracy and reliability of lidar systems. His professional contributions extend to the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) as an At-large Region Director and Co-Editor for ASPRS Sector Insight, and to the Canadian Remote Sensing Society (CRSS-SCT) as an Executive Board Member.
