I am a Research Geographer with the U.S. Geological Survey Wetland and Aquatic Research Center. My job is to build and lead a coastal geography research program. My research program utilizes remote sensing and geographic information science (GIS) to advance our understanding of how coastal environments like barrier islands and coastal wetlands are changing over time and predict how these systems may change in the future. In addition to funding from USGS, my work is funded by other federal agencies like the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and state agencies. I served the ASPRS Gulf South Region (GSR) as the 2nd Louisiana State Representative from 2024–2025. I am currently serving the ASPRS GSR as the 1st Louisiana State Representative from 2025–2026. My involvement with the Gulf South Region board is in my personal capacity.
