Dave joined ASPRS as a student member in 1988 when doing research for his Master’s degree in Geologic Remote Sensing. In 1997, he moved to Seattle to work as photogrammetrist with a local mapping company. He became active with what was then the Puget Sound Region of ASPRS. In 2000, he was elected to the board of directors rotation. He remained on the board in an at large position filling in when there were vacancies. In 2019, the Puget Sound Region and the Columbia River Region merged to form the current Cascadia Region. He has been the Treasurer since the merger.
