The ASPRS Student Chapter at Oregon State University is a student led organization operating under faculty guidance and dedicated to advancing education, research, and professional development in photogrammetry, remote sensing, geospatial science, and related fields. We are affiliated with the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, a leading international professional organization supporting geospatial science and technology.
Our chapter brings together undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds including geomatics, civil engineering, forestry, environmental sciences, computer science, and data science who share an interest in spatial data, 3D sensing, and Earth observation. We serve as a bridge between academic learning and real world geospatial practice.
Through technical workshops, guest lectures, industry engagement, and collaborative projects, we provide opportunities for students to develop practical skills, explore current research, and connect with professionals in academia, industry, and government. Our goal is to foster a supportive community that prepares students for careers and research in the evolving geospatial and remote sensing fields.
