Work Life
BS Geosciences LA-Tech 2006 straight into the seat of a King Air 90 with Fugro operating the SHOALS bathymetric lidar sensor for USACE and NAVO. 2007-2010 supported international hydrographic jobs using bathymetric lidar with half the time out of the plane in products, calibration, and reporting.
Called to USACE in 2010 and was designated lidar guy and my colleague Heath Harwood would be designated imagery guy and we've supported the National Coastal Mapping Program since. We're often confused with another unless he's sporting his teen-wolf beard.
At JALBTCX, I've primarily supported operations in working with sensor manufactures on sensor acceptance and processing improvements for CZMIL and Supernova. I am also responsible for operational planning, data processing and product QC as well as supporting the program director in customer support, partner coordination, and research.
Following ASPRS's 2021 Bathy Lidar 101 workshop, I've been interested in working with the larger community on best practices to support industry and agency partners.
Personal Life
Married to high school sweetheart and have more kids than fingers on one hand. I enjoy camping with the family, fishing alone, a good book, and Jiu-jitsu.
