WG - Lidar - LAS - Public

The February 2026 LWG meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday 2/17 (not Thursday) at 3:30-4:30pm MDT / 2:30-3:30pm PDT / 5:30-6:30pm EDT during the mid-afternoon coffee break at GeoWeek in Denver, Colorado. The meeting will be in room Bluebird 2E in the ASPRS wing of the Denver Convention Center.

We will review the changes implemented in LAS 1.5 and LAS 1.4 Revision 16, present implementation examples for LAS 1.5, and provide support for companies interested in adding LAS 1.5 to their software and product offerings.

During that meeting I re-presented the LAS 1.5 briefing from the International Technical Symposium, which summarizes all of the changes from LAS 1.4 to LAS 1.5. That presentation is attached.

As a reminder, we will be moving to a quarterly meeting cadence, rather than monthly. I expect our next meeting to take place on April 16, 2026, but I'm open to deferring that meeting to May 21st if that works better for anyone. I don't recall any feedback regarding a preference.
