  • 1.  LWG meeting next week! (11/2)

    Posted 10-26-2023 12:00 PM

Hey folks! This month's LWG meeting is on Thursday 11/2, at 11am PDT / 2pm EDT. Zoom info is on the event page and repeated below at the end of this post.

I had a few people mention that the calendar invite from the monthly event doesn't have the recurring option enabled and so the LWG meeting keeps dropping off of their calendar. If you download the ICS file from this page then it'll have recurring enabled at least through GeoWeek 2024. I reported the bug to the IT folks at ASPRS and they're looking into it.

    Hope to see you there!

Apologies for the delay starting the meeting. My laptop died last week and my Zoom is forcing me to run a bunch of updates on my new laptop before it'll let me start the meeting. I hope to have it up shortly.

The recording from today's meeting is available here:

Video Conferencing, Web Conferencing, Webinars, Screen Sharing

We completed Issue 6 and merged its pull request into the draft-1.5 branch: https://github.com/ASPRSorg/LAS/pull/140

For the bulk of the meeting, Howard Butler led a discussion on the WKTv2 requirements and the various ways that LAS 1.5 can or should (re-)implement WKT as a CRS definition method. Thanks for the great meeting, everyone!
