  • 1.  LWG meeting this week! (12/19)

    The December 2024 LWG meeting will be on Thursday 12/19 at 11:00am PDT / 2:00pm EDT. Zoom info is on the event page and repeated below at the end of this post. I expect to begin review of the LAS 1.5 draft PDF together and identify any remaining issues that need to be resolved before we submit the specification for community review.

    Here's a rough LAS 1.5 publication schedule:

    1. Dec 19 LWG Virtual Meeting: Begin internal review of LAS 1.5 draft.
    2. Jan 16 LWG Virtual Meeting: Complete internal review of LAS 1.5 draft.
    3. Feb 12 1-2pm GeoWeek in-person meeting: public comment period begins for LAS 1.5 draft, with email announcement AND in-person meeting at GeoWeek.
    4. Feb 20 LWG Virtual Meeting: Begin integration of public comments.
    5. Mar 20 LWG Virtual Meeting: Prepare for publication and submit to ASPRS Board for acceptance.
